MOTHERS DAY ACCOLADES

• To the woman juggling many hats, yet working tirelessly to keep her home in order..

• To the single woman by chance or circumstance, however doubling as Mom and Dad in order to raise the standards for her child..

• To the woman raising a child with special needs, who time and again wonders why her kid isn't like the others, yet undeterred  and determined to give the special one the best of life..

• To the woman who is the last to bed, and first to wake up, just to keep the oils running smoothly in her home..

• To the woman who is always struggling with her make up in the car, simply because most of the time was spent making sure all shirts were properly tucked in, shoelaces properly tied and the kids look good..

• To the woman whose mouth is never shut, always praying for her kids and man and sometimes forgetting to pray for herself..

• To the one raising an infant, toddler teenager or a child in between these stages, and putting up with so much pressure..

• To the woman who, after a hard days job is rushing home to make sure she meets the kids awake, to ensure all teeth are brushed, homework is done and prayers are said before bedtime..

• To the one with dual jobs just to make sure the kids are well catered for and lack nothing..

• To the mom-in practice, who is waiting for the man she is yet to see but already praying for him as well as the children she would have someday..
• To the one in waiting who- despite the doctors report, keeps believing sooner than later what was promised would manifest sooner than later..
• To the women who worked tirelessly, and sacrificed everything to ensure they raised children of value, and to the ones who despite their efforts it still didn't add up..

We celebrate the victory, the tears, the frustrations, the triumphs, the challenges, the searching for strength to move and finding none but moving on all the same, the grit, the determination, the never say die attitude.
This is for you. You deserve to be celebrated all day everyday, not just according to the British and American Calendars alone.
We see you but God sees You more!!!

Why Model Moms Network?

Hey Mamas, 

E-Hugs and welcome here. It's so exciting to have you join me on this lifetime journey as a Model Mom. 😎

Over time, I have realised that being a parent is no joke as time and again, I  have discovered – and painfully so, that there is no parenting template as well as that what works for one child may not necessarily work for the other, I find myself at wits end as to how to raise these kids entrusted in my care to be the best they can be, whilst embracing the path of destiny and fulfilling the divine call on their life.

To this end, there is no gainsaying that I need the grace of God to get it right as regards motherhood whilst chasing career alongside other life engagements.

Having been born into a family of five kids, an absentee father and an eventual failed marriage, I remember my mother doing her best to single-handedly raise all of us whilst trying to be the example our father was not. It was difficult on many fronts, and sometimes her parenting experience of wearing many hats trying to raise her children was indeed frustrating as we could feel her pain on many levels, borne out of a desire to see her kids turn out right despite the absence of a father. Finally, she resorted to much prayer and the corrective use of the rod. However in retrospect, what she failed to do was the use of positive confessions to shape our eventual destinies. Thankfully, God’s mercies kept us from making a mess of ourselves and ensuring her prayers were not in vain. Fast-forward many years later, with life having dealt me quite some cards, a happily married career woman, and Mom of two boys aged 3 and 1, it’s my sore and greatest desire to see my kids embrace the path of destiny from their tender ages.

This means I am leaving nothing to chance as long as it is within my power to ensure these children are set on the right path from their tender age, by being intentional as a parent whilst solely leaning on provisions of divinity to carry out this major assignment. It is a lifetime call, with no ‘holiday breaks’.

Ok, so if you are anything like me, or have a similar desire to see your kids be the best God intended, then I honestly cannot hide my excitement that you have decided to join me on this roller coaster journey for which abundant grace would be supplied, so that as Moms we can stand in the gap, embrace our challenges and capabilities whilst being accountable with and for each other, thus leaving nothing to chance in raising these destiny fulfillers and trail blazers. 

Quite frankly, I do not have the full picture of this yet, but I trust that as we follow divine leading while standing in and for one another, destiny is realised and God is glorified.
